A company that has been certified for Quality Management System (QMS) refers to a company that has been internationally certified for the operation of appropriate quality systems by an audit based on the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard. In 2003, NANOKEM was certified by the Korea Gas Safety Corporation, which was designated by the Korea Accreditation Board (KAB), through the 3rd audit for ISO 9001:2000. Accordingly, we have secured the internal quality management systems that can be trusted by both consumers and suppliers.

The Type Approval Certificate is an inspection that tests the safety and quality reliability of firefighting equipment. NANOKEM has obtained a Type Approval Number; the shape, structure, material, and performance of the Gas 119 products produced by NANOKEM comply with the technical standards (notified by the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs) certified by the Korea Fire Equipment Inspection Corporation; the technologies and testing facilities possessed by NANOKEM meet the audit standards of the certification bodies.

It aims to regulate matters concerning the manufacture, sale and use of electrical appliances for the purpose of preventing the occurrence of dangers and failures caused by defective electrical supplies. It is a certification given by a certification body in charge of electrical appliances safety management when a product meets the safety requirements in terms of development, production, parts, and quality systems. NANOKEM has been recognized by the Korea Testing Certification Institute (KTC) for its ability to manage electrical appliances through annual, external tests and regular follow-up inspections.

For companies that produce products or have processing technologies that meet Korean industrial standards, this system allows them to display the KS mark on their products if they are admitted that they can continue to produce the products satisfying the Korean industrial standard level through auditing, testing and inspecting their production conditions and products’ quality. NANOKEM acquired KS certification for the automatic temperature control system for heating (KS B 6612) in February 2009.

The Korea Gas Safety Corporation inspects the performance of the automatic burner control system (KGS AB131 PC55-2012) for the controls used in gas burners and gas combustion devices and certifies that the KGS mark can be displayed on the product. We have to undergo post-examination every year and re-certification every 3 years, and Nanochem was acquired in July 2019.

The Quality Assurance (Q mark) system is a certification system jointly operated by 6 test institutes to improve the quality of electrical & electronic products and other industrial products and to protect consumers’ rights. This third-party certification system carefully selects companies that produce excellent products through performance & safety evaluation based on each institute’s own tests and criteria that meet international testing and inspection standards, then, guarantees the quality of such product through the quality assurance mark (Q mark), in order to enhance the reliability of certified companies and promote their sales channels.

A manufacturer who intends to distribute or sell a product in Europe should attach the CE mark to their products in the following ways; declaring that the product conforms to the applicable EU directives and/or obtaining certification through conformity tests such as type inspection by the relevant certification body (notified body). NANOKEM satisfied the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility testing and CE requirements, and obtained the certification for blowers and pumps from the certification body (TUV) in 2009, thereby having the technical level required by Europe.
